Short Answer NO, if you do it right

What’s the point in a wedding website? I already have so much to do!

Yes I HEAR you but creating a wedding website where your guest can go to answer their questions INSTEAD of coming to you will relieve so much pressure off you (& your momma!) I once had a teacher in Highschool whose response to every questions we asked him was “check the syllabus” — think of your wedding website as your wedding day syllabus, when a guests asks a question ask them to check the wedding website and come back to you if they have further questions! PLUS you can have your guests RSVP on your website so you don’t have to keep track of all the little RSVP papers that come your way!

SO what should you include in your wedding website?

MUST HAVES:

-Wedding Day Info

-Date, Time, & Location of Ceremony

-Date, Time, & Location of Cocktail Hour

-Date, Time, & Location of Reception

-Wedding Day Q&A

-When should guests arrive?

-Where should guests park?

-What should guests wear?

-Do guests get a plus one?

-Will there be transportation?

-Wedding Weekend Activities

-If you are having a welcome party, pre-wedding dinner (different from a rehearsal dinner), wedding brunch or any other festivities the week/weekend of the wedding make sure to add this to your wedding website.

-Travel Info

-Hotel Block/Accommodations

-Airport Info (If needed)

-Rental Car Info (If needed)

**If needed, as in if you are having a destination wedding or your guests are primarily out of town

-RSVP

-Online RSVP’s are SO much easier & quicker than paper for both you and your guests. I definitely suggest adding a QR code to your invitations that directs guests to your website where they can RSVP online

-Your wedding email so your guests can email you any questions they may have!

-Your Registry

Katie & Brandon's Northwest Arkansas Wedding Day

Personal touches:

My favorite part for any wedding! Personal touches make your wedding unique and I always suggest having at least 1 personal touch! As for Katie and Brandon their personal touch included a family drink recipe with the cutest bar cart!

The two also decided to toast with glass sprite bottles instead of champagne glasses!! How cute and vintage!!

Lastly, they had a little photo shoot with a family members red firebird!

Attire:

Katie’s dress showed off sheer long sleeves with the prettiest lace details all throughout the sleeves and bodice. We can’t forget the back of the look a beautiful long train and long flowy veil! Pointed toe pumps with a pearl jeweled detail rounded out this stunning bridal look!

The bridesmaids wore champagne fitted gowns with a one shoulder strap and bow!! I have to say these may be my favorite bridesmaid dresses of the year. I absolutely LOVED these so so much! I think you’re going to love them too!

& of course we can’t forget about the guys! Brandon and the groomsmen were in deep blue tuxes with white florals and some fun golf socks! - another fun personal touch for the guys!

The Venue:

The Stone Chapel is definitely a one of a kind venue in the heart of Northwest Arkansas! The grounds are stunning and don’t get me started about the outside of the chapel- the ivy on the outside is my favorite thing about this entire venue!

Italy in Northwest Arkansas:

While I am planning my first Italy wedding for 2025, I am all in the Italy wedding headspace and I can’t help but see Italy in these pics! The planters, bench, and gate all scream Italy! Such a beautiful space!

Design:

All white floral with pops of greenery throughout the entire design made for a classy traditional wedding day feel. We brought in modern touches with the large X wedding party table, the champagne linen for the wedding party table, the large cylinder vases, and of course we can’t forget the STUNNING photo backdrop with loads of babies breath and candles!

Guest Photos:

This wedding day was tons of fun! Evident by the energetic point and shoot photos the guests took! If you’re a photographer I highly recommend bringing a little point and shoot camera for guests to capture things from their point of view, they won’t disappoint!

Adele & Blake's Nancy Meyer's Wedding Celebration

Design & Vibe:

When Adele and I first met she told me she wanted a 1950’s Nancy Meyer’s wedding. She wanted black and white modern with a touch of that old money vintage style feel. This was music to my ears let me tell you! The wedding was held at the old Muehlbach hotel ballroom, the old wing of the Marriott hotel in downtown KC. With this being an older venue it was perfect for that old money vintage feel. Guests were transferred into a 1950’s wedding day as they entered the black and white penny tiled ballroom with dark deep wooden walls and pillars as Frank Sinatra played throughout the space. One of the many things Adele and I have in common is our love for Taylor Swift, as the guests entered they were greeted with a gold vintage mirror seating chart with the lyrics “ and at every table I’ll save you a seat” hand written by one of her amazing bridesmaids!

As for our table design Adele went with mostly white florals with pops of light blue mixed in. A mix of tall and short arrangements gave dimension to an already stunning room!! Gold chivari chairs were brought in to add to the vintage feel & of course we made sure all tables had votive candles to add to the romantic feel of the ballroom.

One thing I loved about this wedding is the 1950’s theme was carried all throughout, starting with Blake’s white tuxedo & black bow tie combo and Adele’s stunning one shoulder ball gown that we transformed with a bustle and bow for a new reception look! The wedding party was dressed in sleek black tuxedos and simple long black dresses.

After Party:

No one wanted this night to end!! & of course Adele and Blake planned for that with an after party at the VOO Lounge + Piano Bar. TALK ABOUT THE BEST WAY TO END A 1950’s LOVE DAY!! The vibes of this lounge capped off the night perfectly & yes Adele had the best outfit change!

Beth & Jacob's Modern Black and White Calla Lilly wedding day

Design / Vibe

Beth and Jacob wanted to keep things elegant & classic by sticking to the black, white, and green color palette but also bring in modern touches! We added arched details, Calla Lillie’s, and a black and white checkered dance floor in a diamond shape! I will forever be obsessed with Calla Lillies after this wedding!

Food/ Drink

B + J had their first date at Chuy’s Mexican restaurant so it was only fitting they have them cater their wedding! The tacos were just what everyone needed on a hott summer wedding day! As for drink B + J modeled their signature drink after a cocktail they had at Lady Slipper NWA in Bentonville Arkansas. I was able to meet with them at Lady Slipper and we all tried the drink, it was amazing! & I am so glad I was able to try this drink for myself, it was such a sweet experience with them!

Beth and Jacob are huge University of Arkansas fans, of course we bonded over this!

The two had to have DJ Derrick, The University of Arkansas Dj, as their Dj! He does all the pep rallies & sporting events and was even the DJ for the SEC men’s basketball tournament in Nashville this year!

360 Photo Booth

A fun twist on the typical Photo Booth! B + J had a 360 booth which the guest LOVED!! Check out some videos below. After the wedding B + J get an album of all the videos and it is such a sweet way to look back on your wedding day & all the people who came to celebrate!

The Dress

In order to get to the dress we have to start with the PJs which were SO cute! The pearls on Beth’s robe foreshadowed the pearls in her veil, which I have really been loving lately. I’ll always be so jealous of Beth’s hair!! She has it curled perfectly and tucked behind her ears in the most simple modern hairstyle that fit the dress perfectly. I couldn’t have dreamt it up better myself!

I hadn’t seen Beth’s dress before the wedding day and when she walked down the stairs from the bridal suite I knew Jacob was going to love it. Beth looked absolutely stunning with the sweet heart neckline and off the shoulder sleeves, the mermaid silhouette fit Beth like a perfect glove!

I had been looking forward to this day since the moment B + J asked me to be their wedding planner and it definitely lived up to the hype. I am very thankful to have been apart of such a beautiful modern black and white wedding day!

Come to the Mountains with Emily G Events

Design

Vibrant yellow blooms popped perfectly on the outdoor mountain landscape giving a subtle pop of color. Wooden chairs brought the natural colors inside the tent with two different tones of wood. When you take a peak inside the tent pops of yellow, green hues, and wood stand collide to create the perfect outdoor wedding balance. Not pictured, the crazy rain and wind storm that came through an hour before these photos were taken. You’d never know we were running around catching glasses and chasing papers to ensure everything stayed intact.

Details

I always say the invitations set the tone for your wedding day & these did just that. The western chic envelope liner foreshadows the chic tented wedding in the middle of the mountains. The soft pastel yellow RSVP envelopes bring in that pop of yellow and the vintage design of the invite, RSVP, and details cards bring in that classy vintage chic vibe!

A detail I absolutely loved was the fabric welcome sign on the bar held down by a beautiful bouquet of yellow blooms, it felt so western chic!

Fashion

A dress made for the mountains, Sophie’s simple satin dress with textured sleeves plays off the soft snow and rough edges of a mountain. Beautiful simplicity with texture is the definition of the nature surrounding this wedding!

Luke’s deep mustard yellow jacket created the prettiest contrast with Sophie’s yellow filled bouquet. His black bow tie brings in that western black tie element the two asked their guests to dress in.

Location

Nestled in the middle of a mountain pasture is T-Lazy 7 Ranch. The tent was set right in the middle of the lush green pasture with the ceremony facing the snow covered mountains. Between the mountains, beautiful green trees, and the wild life I found myself asking if this was even real. Aspen Colorado was definitely a dream wedding location and I can not wait to go back!

St. Louis Children's Hospital Table Top Event

Each year the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation puts on a luncheon to thank the community for all their support and donations to the hospital’s programs. Each year the organization reaches out to local designers to create a table top design for the luncheon. This year the theme for the luncheon was “childhood memories” & designers are allowed to design any table top that goes along with that theme! I created an ISpy table scape based off the famous ISpy books! As you may remember, ISpy books all had different themes so I chose to do an outdoor theme- kind of as a 2nd theme for the childhood memories since I grew up playing outside with my neighborhood friends every day! Check out my table below captured by the lovely Maggie Adams ! (& don't forget to keep an eye out for the Arkansas tribute;))

I was able to rent Style and Staged butterfly plates & green velvet napkins which tied my design together perfectly! I also designed a STL Children's Hospital crest for a cute paper detail!

I was honored to be asked to donate my time and design work & had a great time doing it! Thank you STL Children's Hospital for putting on a lovely luncheon & for all you do for our community and children. <3
